About Us
PT Ifishdeco has its headquarters in Jakarta and a branch office in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. Operating primarily in Southeast Sulawesi, the company undertakes the exploration, development, production, smelting and marketing of nickel ore.
1992 - 2005
1992, PT IFISHDECO bought land in the Tinanggea District area, Konawe Selatan Regency. PT Ifishdeco is an individual company that at the beginning of its establishment was engaged in cashew plantation business and stopped in 1999. 2004 to 2005, plantation business activities began to run again.
2005 - 2008
The growth of Cashew in that period was not optimal due to the condition of the soil having a high degree of acidity. In 2008, PT IFISHDECO received information that the land contained mineral content.
2008 - 2010
The company applied for a mining business license so that in that year the Exploration Mining Authority / Exploration KP No.2249 of 2008 was issued which was upgraded 2 (two) years later to become a Mining Business Operation Permit Production / IUP Operation No.1321 of 2010.
2011 - 2012
Commenced production activities in late 2010 and made first sales in late 2011 for a total of ± 550,000 MT.
2013 - 2014
PT IFISHDECO obtained an export quota of ± 3,600,000 MT and began construction of a smelter by forming a subsidiary of PT Bintang Smelter Indonesia (BSI) with a production capacity of 80,000 tons of Nickel Pig Iron (NPI).
2015 - 2018
In 2015, PT IFISHDECO only made local sales due to the Government’s policy of stopping export activities and obliging to build smelters to obtain an export quota. In 2017, PT IFISHDECO again received an export quota of 992,000 MT.
2019 - Now
PT IFISHDECO obtained an export quota of 2,500,000 MT and replaced the smelter technology to RKEF (Rotary Kiln Electric Furnace) with a production capacity of 204,000 MT FeNi.
